Shrek the Musical is a musical with music by Jeanine Tesori and a book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire, based on the 2001 DreamWorks film of the same name and the 1990 book, Shrek!, by William Steig. After a tryout in Seattle, Washington, the musical opened on Broadway in previews in November 2008, with a December 14, 2008 official opening. Lindsay-Abaire and Jason Moore began working on Shrek by 2002, and Tesori joined the team in 2004. A reading of the musical took place on August 10, 2007 with Stephen Kramer Glickman in the title role, Robert L. Daye Jr. as Donkey, Celia Keenan-Bolger as Princess Fiona, and Christopher Sieber as Lord Farquaad.

When buying floor seats at remember that people are going to stand up. If you are 6'10 or taller you should have no problem, but if you are vertically challenged try getting seats that are in the first few rows or near an inside aisle. TICKET TIP #2

First check the section next to the one that you are interested in, then you should check the opposite side ( mirror image section). All orders for SHREK are shipped thru FedEx. Each order is tracked (you can find the tracker # on your receipt in your email). Each order is Insured up to $500 per shipment. After the checkout is done you will have a chance to get ticket insurance (thru a 3rd Party). On some occasions the tickets you order are not available to ship at the time of purchase. A few examples of why this would happen would be if you were to purchase SHREK tickets 8 months ahead of time, at this time the tickets are not printed yet so we wait for them to arrive and we send them the day that we receive them. Another example would be if you were to purchase front row tickets to SHREK, Most front row tickets are provided buy the fan club and they wait until at least one month before to send them.
